Do You Know What’s Circulating In Your Indoor Environment?
Is air duct cleaning really necessary? If watery eyes, sneezing and stuffy noses are common in your home, it could be a sign of dust, pollen, animal dander and even mold collecting in your ducts and circulating in your home.
Signs Your Air Ducts May Need Cleaning
- Allergy flare-ups
- Rapid dust build-up on furniture
- Visible dirt, dust or mold on vents
- Decreased air flow
BMS Technologies’ state- of-the art equipment, methods and technology help clean and decontaminate air ducts. Our patented source removal and agitation equipment loosens dirt and debris, allowing our powerful negative air units to extract it. The equipment is specifically designed to access the register opening and reach all the way into the main ducting, providing a more thorough cleaning BMS Technologies equipment utilizes HEPA filtration to trap the extracted contaminates so they are not redistributed in your home.
During the cleaning process, registers and diffusers are removed, then cleaned and sanitized. Removing the built-up dirt and debris can also improve the air flow, helping your system perform more efficiently.
Cleaner indoor air starts with good filtration. Filters should be changed every 3 months. Ask your BMS Technologies technician about our custom-fit Scan Air Filters.
Kitchen Duct, Absorbent and Filter Cleaning
A dirty exhaust system can leave your business in ashes. Don’t let this happen to you. If your business involves an exhaust fan system, ask yourself these questions. When was it last cleaned? How you would fare if a lack of adequate cleaning led to closure of your business?
Exhaust fan systems are legally required to be maintained to promote a safe environment. Without adequate care, fan exhaust systems can become:
- accumulation sites for flammable substances such as cooking fats, grease, lint, etc – in simple terms a fire hazard;
- breeding grounds for germs.
Council and Health Authority inspectors check hoods as part of their inspection process. Uncleaned hoods can mean closure of a business. With Health and Fire Departments requiring exhaust systems be thoroughly cleaned annually*, the pain could be made all the worse if your insurer denies your claim due to inadequate maintenance of your system. The Steamatic treatment looks beyond the obvious visible areas (filter and blades) to meticulously clean the risers (where accessible) and horizontal ducts areas where major accumulation of contaminants occurs.
As part of its service, we will provide:
- before and after photographs
- a detailed system diagram for future reference
- a full report on its condition
- a certificate of compliance for your records.
